staying at cabana hotel patong need information on restaurants and night life
CANNOT AFFORD EXSPENSIVE PLACES
good food and beer required

Have You already booked Your hotel ?
I guess that You pay maybe 2-3.000 Bahts per day/night at Cabana...right ?
Why dont You choose a MUCH cheaper, but still good, hotel ??
Try to book Your hotel at : www.phuket-summerbreeze.com since this hotel in SOI SAEN-SABAI may cost You around 550-1.000 Baht per night...JUST choose the STANDARD room, since it is GOOD...believe me !!!
You can also choose KASEMSUK MANSION in SOI SAEN-SABAI, this hotel is on Your left side when You come from SOI BANG-LA...and the prices are almost the same...around 600-650 Bahts...
You can eat WELL at a small thai "restaurant" at RAT-U-THIT Road in Patong...it is the road going parallel with the beach road, THAWEE-WONG Road....
When You walk from the beachfront on SOI BANG-LA (the bar and activity street), then You reach the supermarket OCEAN on Your left side...and after that...ROCK HARD CAFÉ on the corner...on Your left side....
You then turn LEFT....down RAT-U-THIT Road... and the small restaurant, which I have been mentioning...I THINK it is called no. 5...but Ive forgotten...the restaurant is lying almost across RAT-U-THIT from SOI SUNSET on Your right side...
This small restaurant, has got a few table in front...and several inside....and it is TYPICALLY THAI STYLE...try their food...it is good and cheap !!

give up neils, you always appear to be trying to flog a mates place.
The Cabana's are in a great location, right on the beach and the entrance is on the main road which goes along the beach. There are so many good restaurants it is hard to say but sabai sabai is about the best deal even if you have to wait for a table. The only one I would not reccommend is about 50 metres south of Bangla Road on the beach front. The main area is round and seafood tanks out the front. I have been there twice in two different years and although the prices are OK I left hungry. The Islander bar about 75 metres from Bangla road in the soi leading to Patong Resort Hotel has a wide variety of english meals. if you want a change for a night and good prices. It is the first actual soi (cars can drive up it from the beach on the right hand side from the beach (200 metres).

Well to some it may seem, that I have certain "interests" but my sole interest is to tell people what I would have done, in their place...

...and this obviously causes doubts about my genuine interests...

..but yes...i will answer the questions untill the 4th of May, because then I will be going to Bangkok for 2 days...and the 6th, in the evening, I will be arriving at Patong...staying at Casa Summerbreeze in Soi Saen Sabai, my favourite place....

I guess, that I will visit You while I am there...so maybe we´ll meet one day...

I understand the comments and the reply by Niels.

I am staying at the Summer Breeze and quite enjoy the place. The place cannot be compared to a beach front/road property. But, its good value for the price and is really a cozy place and you feel cared for..
