I'll be in KL and would like find a reputable tailor. Any suggestions as to where I can find one and what can I expect to pay for a men's light wool or silk suit. Thanks

have you gone yet? If you have not just drop a line here. I can recommend a good tailor with an extensive stock of Italian, English wool and Italian and Japanese cotton for shirts.

Lord's Tailor is located in Bangsar Shopping Centre, Bangsar (About 20 minutes from city centre)You can take a taxi there from anywhere.

Lord's has been making suits for 2 generations. The son, who is in his early 30's (Kenny) is very up-to-date in men's fashions. Their clientele includes ministers, visiting dignataries, VIPs, F1 types etc. The tailors and staff there all speak fluent English.

Costs? It depends on how much you're willing to pay. A Zegna suit may set you back RM5000 and above, but they have non-Zegna fabrics as well. Very nice. You can choose from mixed wool for RM2000 plus. The made-to-measure Italian cotton shirts are RM200 each. This is a guideline only as the last time I followed by husband there was 6 months ago and the price may have gone up due to the weak dollar and strong Euro.

I would put their prices as reasonable as there is another tailor called FOX in KLCC with the same kind of fabrics but 20-30% more expensive.

My fussy husband (who has a couple of Armani suits himself) is a big fan of their suits but you be warned though, they do not operate on 24 hours basis and it takes up to 2 weeks to finish a suit (with one fitting in between) If you would like, I can pass you their phone number.

My husband and I will be in KL next week and are thinking of making a couple of suits for him while we are there.

Would appreciate the phone numbers as offered. Would appreciate recommendation for the ones who can finish the making in 5 days if any.

Thanks
