We will be spending 6 nights in KL in early March. Can anyone advise me as to whether it is easier/cheaper to change over $$$ at the airport or should I do this in Australia before leaving?
Also should I book any tours from Australia first or would it be best to do it over there?

Thanking you in advance for any replies.

Cheers :D
I have also heard that KL is much more expensive (clothes and shoes etc) :cool:to visit and purchase items than in Bangkok is that true?

hmm. for the $$$ , it is hard to tell, as the changing rate will change everyday. for hotel, you can book it youreslf through the hotel website :) . i have a few hotel that i always stay & it is good. 1)grand plaza parkroyal (5*) 2) capitol hotel (3 & a half * but no swimming pool) both hotel are located @ the shopping belt(bukit bintang) & the monorail (train), so no worries., but if you are travilling in march, the hotel are little bit more expensive due to the F1. so you need to booked eariler. for clothers, yes i agree is a little more expensive for branded ones. jeans i think is much more expensive then in singapore! for tour, you can booked when you reach the hotel, they will help you & you can find a travel agent easily @ bukit bintang. ( cheaper ) the website for both hotel are http://kualalumpur.parkroyalhotels.com/ & www.capitol.com.my . hope you have a nice trip to kl :D

The cheapest money exchange merchant in town is at Bukit Bintang, Sungai Wang shopping complex. There are more than 10 money exchange overthere, the cheapest one is at the main entrance. You just enter the premises from the main entrance and than turn right immediately, than you will see the money exchange counter right in front of you.
Capitol hotel is good, near Sungai Wang shopping complex, Lot 10 shopping complex( where isetan, Guess, Hugo BOSS, Versace,Armani shop located), Planet hollywood and so on.
Please consider Merlia hotel if your budget is below 60USD per night. It is located rite behind sungai wang plaza.
