Hi i dont mean to be ignorant. but what would any of you tell me if you were trying to sell me Phuket. I am coming over to stay with a friend at the begiing of April for 10 nts and would love to know what makes this Island so Special!!. Especially the Patong Beach area. I mean it looks fantastic, and has rave reviews by all who have travelled to it. But i would love someone to tell me what i should expect, and why this place will capture my heart and my imagination.
Would be exceptionally greatfull for a reply.
Cant wait to come over (but dont really know what to expect) weird !.

Depends a bit on your age as to whether you're gonna like Patong. It's vibrant and full of all sorts of nightlife and bars.

Whilst this appeals to the younger crowds, the oldies tend to find it a bit much and prefer quieter areas away from Patong.
