I am heading to Phuket in September - October period, and staying most probably staying at Kata Thani; are all the clubs & pubs still good to go to, and whats the women situation in the clubs etc. Good picking up chances ????

What I meant to say was leave the guy alone he's young and enthusiastic - it's not a crime! Aussies are fun loving.

Well said Jules.....at least he is being honest about his intentions ( & curious about his chances!) We might not like it, but that's just the way it is in Thailand. The sex industry probably only exists because of the western demand for it.

Sadly it's not just Westerners. Go to any southern border town like Hat Yai on a weekend and count how many "Barber shops" have Malaysian cars out the front.

Guess men are men all over the world - except for those bars in Patong and Patpong where some women are too!

So you think Thailand is pure and squeaky clean Kato? Where do you get your info!! It is a FACT that a lot of men (mainly westerners) go to Asia specifically to pick up young asian girls for their pleasure.

Hey guys, lay off for a while. It might not be to your moral standards, but if it's legal ,it's any once choice what to do.
Besides that, if you have travelled around Asia a bit you would see that the westerners have high moral standards compared to the Indians, chinese, phillipinos etc etc. It's just that the westerners show it more openly becasue they are on holidays and don't expect to be recognised by anyone from home. Thailand also has got a lot less a go-go bars
and brothels per capita than their neighbouring countries. Living now in Australia, I know there are plenty of brothels around (despite being illegal), the difference is just that they don't display it.
