Hi to all who read and answered my recent letter,my first.!!!!

Once again I appreciate all the response, such a helpful forum, I am so grateful, and only wish I had known about Patong Forum BEFORE our trip.However we will be better informed for our next trip March 07.

In 07 we will be flying into Bangkok for a few nights, flying Thai, need to find a hotel near train and markets. Maybe the best one could be Princess Pathumwan??????? Not sure,has any reader stayed there,????? Help!!!!

We travelled through S/pore last time,flying S/pore, FANTASTIC plane/service was first class. Silk was also great, couldnt fault their service.
S/pore was interesting, nice,but probably just another big City. Expensive shopping, didnt find any cheap markets/shops

I just love the cheap bargins in Bali and now I have discovered Patong, whool!!!!!!!!!!!
Eating out in Patong is so exciting too, fresh seafood and I enjoy sitting on my chair at the beach sunbathing, while the man comes around selling Spring Rolls, so CHEAP, and taste fantastic, what a view, what a beautiful beach.

Still cant choose between H I and Merlin. Will talk more later,and ask more questions,ha-ha!!!

Thanks guys, would be good to meet up sometime in Patong of course!!! Spring rolls and beer.Our shout!!
