It's right in the heart of KL and conveniently located very near a train station, so you won't have problems commuting. I don't know much of events happening there in February but there is the Formula 1 Malaysia happening in March. I heard The Saujana hotel is offering discounted rates in time for the Grand Prix. Hi there No matter where u stay , or do, always change your AUD in KL city. Lots of moneychangers in BB Plaza (off Bukit Bintang .. the main area, where u might like to stay ) Avoid changing at the Airport .. I supoose this rule applies to all cities The ride into the city from the Airport will also be cheap if u choose to take the Bus instead of the Train

Ahh!!You dont have to worry about cheap hotel.There's alot of cheap hotel here.Although we dont have a backpackers hotel,but the price is still da same. For shopping,its the best in KL.Lots of branded and unbranded item in Malaysia.hahaha..can go to night maket or china town to buy lots of beautiful fake item.. Hey,like to go clubbing.I suggest you stay near at Bukit Bintang.That's the place for clubbing.MUCH MUCH fun there. Maybe we can meet up and have a drink too..haha...anyway,just ask me.

Ill take your word for it Nautilus. I have a feeling the rates would be better if I exchange it in KL. I still havent booked my hotel. Still plenty of time till then. Most likely ill be in the bukit bitang area. BONZAIMY: Are you a local there or are you travel in KL at that time? a/s/l lol

there is ah?I really dont know about backpackers hotel in KL.Must be very cheap.But i think its worth it to staying in hotel because AUS dollar currency is higher than Malaysia,so,no prob about money.I only can get backpackers hostel in UK while the same amount,i can get 5STAR hostel in KL.Huhuhu...... Is it safe for a foreigner to change their money here?I mean if u bring lots of cash and want to change at Bukit Bintang,i really worry about it... Im local.But really happy if can help tourist who come to Malaysia.AAhhh...one part of my job!!Please fly with Malaysia Airlines.hahaha

There are some backpackers, you just need to know where to find them. I have met some at Pubs. If you dont want to bring lots of cash, just use your ATM card.

Well I'm not so much meeting backpackers there...I'm more interested in meeting the locals in KL.
