From the posts I understand Air Asia arrives at a different terminal can anyone tell me how far this is from the main one?
We arrive a week friday I'm a bit confused as to where we will actually be arriving..

Air Asia lands at the LCCT. It quite a distance (15-20 minutes) from the International Airport, KLIA. You can take taxis or bus from LCCT to KLIA.

Sorry for the confusion, I know where the main airport is would the LCCT one be closer to KL?

The LCCT is are the same area of KLIA, just a bit further. It's a separate Terminal.

What time does the plane land at KLIA? Exit the terminal and catch a taxi to LCCT. The drivers drive very fast.

Thank you for your help, our plane comes in around 5pm I've explained to our friends that we come in to LCCT so I think its all ok and assume they know where they are going....:-)

For anyone looking for similar question, there are many taxi / limo around to travel between this 2 terminals. You can always ask your staying hotel (4 stars above) to arrange it for you without any other extra charges.

me 'n my husband plan to go to to Malaysia..
We plan to go to Langkawi straight away, I mean we arrive to KLIA and want to buy the tickets for the soonest flight.The question is: do we need to go out of the KLIA and go to another airport or the flights to Langkawi are from KLIA?

Hi Amorelavita,

Both Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and AirAsia fly to Langkawi from Kuala Lumpur. Difference is : MAS flies from KLIA whilst AA flies from LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal). MAS has about 5 flights a day to Langkawi whilst AA has slightly more (7 flights). Since you're flying into KLIA, I'd suggest that you fly MAS - otherwise you'd need to get a taxi from KLIA to LCCT.
Travel time btw the 2 terminals is about 15 minutes by taxi - fare should be RM10 - RM15.
Price difference for a 1-way KL-Langkawi ticket between the 2 airlines is approx RM200 [if that's an important criterion].

Hi mgteng, by the time you get out of aircraft, collect bags, and get to taxi stand, may take 20 mins, then its an hour by taxi to KL Central, I would reconsider your plan.
