My husband and I will be visiting KL in August for a few days, and we plan to shop in Chinatown as well as the various great shopping centres in the Bukit Bintang area. I am wondering how much i should bargain down to for a fake designer handbag? Do you think $35 AUD is fair for a fake bag? And are these bags the fake leather variety? I have purchased the fake leather designer bags in Bangkok and the quality was ok. Also, please recommend what shops in Sungwei Plaza or other centres sell great leather bags, which do not have to be designer, but of good quality at a bargain price.

The only place you will get fake stuff is in chinatown. The price you pay will depend on your barganing skills. Best to get there in the early afternoon as it gets too crowded at night.

You will need to haggle hard.

You may be lucky to get some bargains at Bukit Bintang but you will have to pay more than $35aud for a branded bag.
