There are many good tailors!!! Checkout a few and see who you like. Be clear in your mind on what you want, and dont be swayed. Find your Tailor early so you have plent of time to get things altered if they are not right, If you are not happy say so (nicely of course), So therefore make sure you dont pay the full price till the item is made and you are happy with it.
I have used one called Hollywood, its on beach rd Oposite Patong Bay Garden which is just north of Bangla rd. They were ok, the boys speak good english. But We all did have to get adjustments made after the fitting, but the final products were great.

Last year I had a couple of skirt & pant suits tailored at Narry's and I was very happy with their service and the finished products. They were not pushy. You will see their signs everywhere!

Just a hint & FYI - You will most probably be given brochures at the airport, hotel & in the street showing deals from tailors, where they claim to make up a certain number of items for say, USD300-00. From experience, this is usually the cheapest fabric, just to get you into their shop. Then they'll show you what they can make you in a better fabric, for a dearer price.

In 2001 I had some clothes tailored at "John's Tailors", which were also excellent.
