We are off to Phuket for the first time in April and I would appreciate if anyone has any feedback on Kelly's Hotel on Nanai Road, thanks.

That looks like the old Icon hotel which closed down years ago and was left derelict for a long time. Recently been refurnished and re-opened last year. The photo gallery looks great.

Be aware that you will be about 15 minutes walk to the beach and night life (Bangla), and less than 10 minutes to shopping mall Jungceylon. Plenty of small bars and restaurants within a stone's throw. Be aware that Nanai Road is quite busy (= noisy) so I hope that the room front windows are well insulated.

Thanks for that info, we were aware of the distance from Bangla Road and prefer it that way and we walk heaps anyway so it won't bother us. I have read a few reviews and no-one has mentioned the noise so it will be interesting to see what it is like.

Hi, firstly I will declare that I am the web-master for Kelly's so take that into consideration in my comments.
I have made dozens of websites for hotels here, however Kelly's is probably to only one I ever write about subsequently.
The hotel was completely refurbished, including rebuilding the pool and some serious infrastructure investment was also made.
Depending on which route you choose to walk, the beach can be 10 minutes away, via Soi Namyen and Soi Sawatdirak. Turn right out of the hotel, first left and keep going. It's also quite an interesting walk.
The hotel is set a good 6 meters above the road with a pool separating the hotel building from the road and this means it is very quiet, the noise form the road had never been commented on and the rooms are also well shielded.
Hope you enjoy your stay, I am sure you will.
