My boyfriend and I will be going to Phuket next month, April. Its our first time going to Phuket. We need your help in answer the following enquiries.

1)Is Karon Cafe' Inn Phuket(hotel) a good place to stay over?

2) Is booking the trip from Phuket to Coral Island online cheaper or paying it at Phuket cheaper?

3) What about other activities like Bungy jump,ATV tour and etc..book online cheaper or pay at there cheaper?

Hi Ber and Welcome.

Cant answer your question about Karon Cafe, however if you are young, unless you want really quiet, I would suggest you look at Patong, as thats where all the nightlife is. Most people I know end up spending a fortune on tuk tuk's in and out of Patong .

My advice is to book trips on the street(not from hotel) once there. There are 100's of tour desks and you will get a better price and you can barter them down.

has a seasoned traveler to Thai im lucky enough now not to stay in hotels or book tours,,when i did book a tour i would wait to see what the weather was like on the day,also booking in hotels the tour company will collect you from hotel and drop you back and you can barter with the tour rep,,
if you book a tour on the street vendor do they offer this service,,
i also dont know this hotel cafe karon,,

The Karon Cafe is quite a small guesthouse, perhaps only 6 rooms. Just off Karon Village main street, about 5 minutes walk to the beach. It's a well run guesthouse, owner is American/Norwegian. The resturant is excellent, I eat there very often.

For sure best to buy your tickets once you get here, More chance to discount price, and make sure the weather forecast is good before you book any tour.

Sorry to correct you happydays but you will still get picked up from your hotel using street vendor tour desk. We also dont do many tours these days, but all trips I have doner I have been picked up and droped off at hotel, whether I have booked on street, hotel, or internet.

I agree Karon Cafe is a good place to eat, love their breakfasts. We had a look at a couple of their rooms a few years ago, they were ok but the stairs looked a killer, very steep.
