Home after 15 days in Patong Beach, weather was a bit hit and miss, quite a bit of rain. Our accommodation was very ordinary, not what we expected. didn't plan on doing many tours as had done them before, but did go down to the Big Buddah, amazing, will be most impressive when finished. Had a seafood lunch in Chalong, quite expensive but a very busy place. Also went down to Koh Chang Safari, hubby wanted to go on the elephants, they sent a driver to pick us up and return for 200bht which I thought was good, 20 minute ride for 600bht for adults. I was happy to purchase some bananas and feed the cheeky gibbons who are now in an enclosure, the elephants are so beautiful and very well looked after, was happy to have spent our money there knowing that is is for a good reason. Flew back to perth with virgin, would have to be the worst plane I have ever been in, seats are so uncomfortable, a lot of young kids screaming all the way, i think the mother sitting behind us changed her baby and put the dirty nappy in the back of my seat, was all I could smell for the duration of the flight. Oh well, now I have to get over this flu before I go back to work. Cheers

2 years ago, we got talked into a Holiday Club ( aka timeshare),so thought we might use 2 weeks and stay at the Seapearl, big mistake...after 4 days asked to be moved south to another property, although very nice there were so many steps to get to the pool, beach, restaurant, which didn't agree with my back, so moved back again to the original resort. All I can say, if that was the best room they guarantee, would hate to see the worst. They tried their hardest to get us to upgrade our m'ship, but after my complaining they soon gave up. With all the smelly nappies, seat kicking and horrible accom. we still enjoyed our time there, spending time on the beach, catching up with our friend with the sun lounges, cold beers, best salad rolls and the hawkers. You cannot help but enjoy your holiday...think next year will try our timeshare in Bali...that will be an experience. Cheers
