I am wanting to rent a car for 12 days in October. I have been looking at andaman car hire and David car hire. Has anyone used either of these? Two years ago in Phuket we have had an experience where the car hire firm did not show up with the car and had in fact gone out of business So this time we want to make sure that all will be ok with the firm we use.

Don't know about Andaman, but I know people who have hired from David Car hire at Phuket airport. No complaints. But I'm not sure if they deliver ?? as they are located at the airport and mot customers collect as they arrive Phuket.

Cressida,Go ahead with David car rent.I am one of their regular.They have a fleet of fairly new cars to choose from.Friendly service.However,the last time I made a booking for a sedan using my credit card in Phuket town where the car was delivered to me,it was driven by a guy from the airport to meet me,I found out back home when I received my bill that they charged me 4 days instead of 3 days which I actually used.
