Both Amari Watergate and Baiyoke Sky are within walking distance from the Ratchadamari Station. However, why dont you consider the Asia Hotel (check Agoda or Asia Web Direct for good deals) which is actuallt connected to the Ratchathevee Station. This station is next to the Payathai Station, which you will arrive at from the Airport Link.

Last two weeks stayed at Evergreen Place which is just beside the Asia Hotel, and yes, it's really near to Ratchathewi BTS station. 5 to 10 mins walking distance to MBK too.

this time, prefer Pratunam area.

While the skytrain can still be managed by foot from either hotels in about 15-20 mins, it is the Chitlom station that is nearest. And do keep in mind that the heat and humidity of the city can be really frustrating. Consider Arnoma or Aphrodite Inn which are both cental to Pratunam and the skytrain.

Centrepoint Petchburi is a more bearable 7-10 minute walk to the Ratchathewi skytrain station. Although one of the chain's older properties, it offers bigger studio or 1-br units, being a serviced apartment. Citin Pratunam is deeper into Petchburi (read: farther from the skytrain) in comparison to the above. It is a lot newer but the rooms are more compact and is more of a budget alternative (read: Inn) than a full-service accomodation. I love space so I'm a bit partial to Centrepoint.

They can offer you a lower rate than that, specially for a stay of one week. The place doesn't look impressive in their website, but it's a cozy low-rise place. Of course, after staying in Evergreen Place, you will find Aphrodite Inn small.

one week stay? how i wish the dream come true, but sadly it's just a 3 nights this time. hopefully, next time it will be 2 weeks stay.

i didn't mean aphrodite inn room small, but the website really so simple to the extent that it didn't show the room detail.
