Hi All,

I will be travelling to Phuket in Dec 2011. I will be staying in Hotel Courtyard Marriott Patong beach.

I will be staying there for 4 days.

Want to know if any tour package offered by this Hotel for exploring nearby area and charge offred for it.

There are plenty of tour agents all over Patong Beach that you can book various tours with. You will see them in small tour kiosks as you walk along the pavement. There is a very good tour kiosk about a 100 meters to the left of your hotel- get out of your hotel and turn left towards the beach. You will see the desk just before you get to the beach road and just after a massage place. Her name is Sakina. I used her for many tours and was very pleased with her service.

The tour desk at your hotel will be more expensive.

The charges can range from about THB 1,200 to THB 3,000 per person for a full day trip to the surrounding islands (James Bond Island, Phi Phi Island, etc) for snorkelling, sightseeing,canoeing etc and other activities such as elephant trekking, Phuket Fantasea show, etc. This includes transfers to and from your hotel and in most instances, lunch. You can often negotiate a discount from the brocure price of about 20% to 30% or more.
