We just left Cambodia. We took train to it was a long dusty ride but a must do one time. Once you get to the border it's easy getting through. Get your visa before you leave so you can go right to immigration. When going through Cambodia immigration get in the left line, it's faster and there are two agents checking passports. Once through there keep walking past the free shuttle rides etc and ignore the touts do not even acknowledge thier existence! We had an awesome driver in Siem Reap. He drove us around for two days anywhere we wanted to go for $25 bucks. The ride from border to Siem Reap will cost you about $45 in a taxi. If you email this guy ( he was our driver in Siem Reap) he can work everything out for you. His email is, so.veat@yahoo.com if you are going on to another town he will help you set plans ahead for that too. He wasn't pushy and knew English. Use American dollars in Cambodia don't bother with the riel unless you have to. Have fun we did and will be going back!
