It's not really a bad idea but there are a few things you need to know about . At first the beach is a lot smaller in this time of year and the water can be not so clean as in summertime . The weather depends from day to day , some days not a cloud in the sky other day can be whole day rain but it's never cold . The weather is nothing to worry about although it's little bit worse than "summer" time . If you have never been to samui you can have maybe a bad idea about the beach when you go in december-january but when you have been there in the past you know what i'm saying .
