Samui or Phuket

Hello,

I always planned to go to Phuket, but then I found out that our company has a nice corporate rate at the Mercure Coralia Resort in Koh Samui.

So I have three questions:

Does anybody know this place?

How does Samui compare to Phuket concerning activities, sights etc.

I know that the 2nd half of November is already 'dry season' in Phuket. Is it also in Samui

Anonymous Anonymous Unregistered	I don't know al the answers to your questions but i'll try to help you . The hotel i don't know it so now help here . Samui is different from phuket ( never been there but many people tell me ) , the beach in samui is better than in phuket . I think for activaties it's about the same . Nightlife is maybe the biggest difference , on samui even chaweng is much smaller than phuket . When you go to party and don't mind anything else go to phuket especially patong . Chaweng on samui will be a good second but is maybe 5 times smaller . I like lamai on samui because it's very relax with a outstanding beach and a ok nightlife . The weather issue is difficult i think because 2 nd half of november should be the end of rainy season in samui also . The beach will be smaller this time of year and the waves will probably be higher than now . I don't know how at the end of monsoon the beach will be on phuket but it will be the same i think .
