I've only ever seen parasailing, but who knows. As for food, since we have only ever stayed at the Holiday Villa there are an array of local restaurants that very cheap across the road from the resort.

Cuisine;
The hotels in Langkawi serve both European and Malaysia gourmet food. If Asian or Malaysia food suits your fancy, try a curry, tandoori or spicy stay.
Travel Tips;
For a closer look at nature, check whether your resort offers a guided tour of the surrounding tropical forests. This area is home to a myriad of animals, including macaque monkeys, iguanas and peacocks — all in your temporary backyard. Also visit the Langkawi Crocodile Farm located at Datai Bay, Malaysia. Playing Crocodile Hunter shouldn't be difficult here, as the farm is bustling with crocodile activity. Get a firsthand look at crocodiles eating and interacting with humans.

To enjoy Langkawi, you have to stay at a nice 5 star resort with nice beach.
