Reservation of course before going to Phuket??

Hi Everybody 
We are going to Patong in March/April 2007 for 2 weeks. Here I would like to finish my PADI OW course - I have finished theory and and pool training in Denmark. 
Would you recommend that I book the course before going to Phuket (now...??)?? Or should I wait and book when I get there??
I would like to do the 2x2 open water dives within the first 4-5 days of our trip. 
I guess I would have to pay a deposit if booking via the internet 4-5 months in advance...??

Yes, booking in advance means paying a deposit.
Referrals are not the most taught courses, so some of the DC's probably won't be able to start it when you would like. So I would recommend to book in advance.
