Ok all of you fantastic travellers out there, I have a problem, don't know where to stay. We are off to Krabi, april 07, 9 of us and would like to spend some time in Krabi and on Phi Phi. 5 of us visited phuket this year and it was fantastic so decided to visit the other side this time. Couple of oldies coming with us so comfort is a must. 5 of us are divers so we will definitely be experiencing that while we are their again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
thanks Tony

Check out Kou Lanta, pronounced Kou Lant -ow. Lots of places to stay from cheap to very posh. Within a boat ride to Phi Phi.(very busy there).
I'll see if i can dig out some brochures i bought back for you.

we have recently returned from Krabi province the main resort is Ao nang {not much to do in Krabi town} we stayed at the Phra Nang Inn which is situated on the beach and in heart of tourist shops/bars ect.the scenery and beaches are breathtaking, the ofshore island trips are a must do and have to be a divers paradise especially Hong Island which has an inshore lagoon.there's plenty of things to do/see and its not as busy as phuket.we booked with New Horizons hear in perth and prices were much lower than booking in yourself there are plenty of other hotels in area but this one has to be the in best position, the boats leave from right outside hotel

Phi Phi
www.phiphi-hotel.com
Ko Lanta
www.moonlight-resort.com I recommend Klong Dao Beach Resort. They don't have a pool but their part of the beach is a lot nicer than moonlight.

In Krabi I would recommend staying in Ao Nang it is the centre of all the actions and is on the beach. Has restaurants, bars, small markets and so on. Some of the decent places are Krabi Thai Village, Queens Bay Pavillion Phra Naang Inn, Ao Nang Resort. Ao Nang is a good place base yourself to see the sites and nearby islands and beaches.
With Phi Phi where to stay depends on what you want. I always stay at Holiday Inn on Lamethong Beach which is around the quite side of the Island. I have some travel notes from my trips to Phi Phi which I can email if you like. We travel there every year. The main part of Phi Phi Ton Sai is busy but alot of the other beaches around the island are quite and peacefull.
