hi there i'm coming to phuket in march this year.could somebody please give me a rough guide to how much i will have to pay for a dive from the beach and from a boat. will i need to bring any padi cards i'm currently a dm and do i have to bring proof of dives will a computer do as proof thanks in advance

A computer is no proof, anybody could have been diving with that computer. So you will need to bring a certification card, preferably also a logbook, so the DC can also check the date of your last dive and the number of dives you have made.
Beachdive: about 1100 Baht. Most of the diving is done by boat, prices start around 2500 Baht for 2 dives, 3000 Baht for 3 dives. All prices excluding equipment rental.

hi there thanks for the help i realise a computer is no proof,a log book is not really proof either they can be filled in by anybody.i gave up with a log book years ago. i will bring my cards and puter and see what happens thanks for the reply

I Was in thailand lst year, and went on a discovery dive with my partner. i did not have my diving licence with me however they looked it up on the computer, to my surprise there i was, the date i got my licence ...1985 and i had not dived since.
