Hi,
I will be going to KL this Saturday for only 1 day. Will anybody be able to provide me with more information on the
following :-
1)Can we climb up to the twin towers and do we need to pay and how much? I heard that there is also another tower but not sure what is the name of the tower.
2) Is it advisable to go to Chinatown? Is there alot of pickpockets? Can we bargain and do we need to bargain hard? What time does the Chinatown starts business.
3) How about transportation? How to go to Twin towers and Chinatown from Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel? Is there any public transport eg bus or MRT? How about taxi, is it by meter reading?
4) Besides the above 2 places that I mentioned, any recommendation for other places?
5) We will proceed to Malacca the next day? Any idea about the Mahkota Parade? Is it a big shopping centre?
6) How to go to Mahkota Parade from KL by car?
Thanks a lot!

There is a limited time frame to go up the Twin Towers.
If you're arriving late, then forget it.
Chinatown is ok, just be carefull and do bargain hard. Some of the sellars can be really rude.
Get a cab, and tell the driver to use the meter.

Thank you, Nautilus. Do you have any idea what time does the Twin Towers open and close for public, so that we can get there in time.

The Tower is open from 9am to 5pm, except on Monday, but you have to go early to get the limited 1300 tickets for those who want to go up, and all you get is like 10 minutes up there.
If you cant get the ticket for Twin Towers, go to KL Tower instead. It's the same anyway.
Btw, they start giving out tickets at 8:30am and the first tickets are for a 9am visit.

KL Tower is also in town, short distance from the Twin Towers.
KL Tower, there is a revolving restaurant also.

Since you're staying at the Renaissance, it's walking distance to the Twin Towers or KLCC.
Very near, can even see it from your room.
Chinatown i would say it's about 20 minutes away, depending on traffic.
Sorry not sure bout Melaka, havnt been there in years.

There is not much time for you to do too many activities in one day.
Chinatown can be done during dinner time. The Twin Tower in the morning. Shopping. Then at ngiht you can enjoy the many night life in KL.
There is a HUGE disco opposite the road fr Renaissance, it's called Zouk.
Hard Rock Cafe is also accross the road, walk further up and you are at the Beach Club, etc.
Short drive away from Renaissance is the Heritage Row, http://www.asianheritagerow.com/ , This place ROCKS !!!
