Phi Phi is a wonderfull place to unwind and relax. It is the perfect place to get away and do as much as you like. It is a beautifull spot with clear waters and some great beaches, islands, snorkelling spots and so on. I would recommend Holiday Inn Phi Phi. I know it is a big name hotel but it is on a quite beach around the quite side of the island. The Bungalows are huge, the beach is beautifull. Have stayed here the past seven years and even got married there. If you want some more info I have some travel notes I have made up with things to do on Phi Phi.

Yeah phi phi is great...a tad expensive compared to some islands, but it's easily one of the most beautiful. It's recovered incredibly well after the tsunami, but there is still work to be done.
anyone got any experience of Koh Chang? i'm thinking about going there when i return to thailand next year. heard a lot of good things about the place on my last visit but never got round to going

Depends very much on budget. I recommend Phi Phi Island Resort and Spa. Great resort with local dining and massage facilities outside resort within 5 minutes walking distance. Perfect setting.

I have been there to Phi Phi island once. It is a great experienced for me to be there! It is like a paradise. The Ko Phi Phi Island is also known for its white sand beaches, blue waters and giving an altogether unique experience for the travelers. There are numerous activities in the Ko Phi Phi Island that the tourist can engage like scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and climbing. It is really a wonderful place. I stayed at Phi Phi Island Cabana which is a low rise hotel with good accommodation. It is a comfortable place. When you plan visit at Phi Phi island, no need to worry where to stay. Just visit this site and they will accommodat your requests.... http://travelextreme.net/

The Island has no motorized transportation. If you are staying near Tonsai Village, everything is about a 10 minute walk from your Hotel. If you are staying out where the Holiday Inn and Zevola are, you will need to take a long tail boat to get to the village.
On a personal note. I love Phi Phi. It is one of the most relaxing places I have ever been. Time does not exist there which is such a great escape from everyday life.
My brother lives over there and I will be heading back over to Phuket on the 30th. I will be taking my wife to Phi Phi for the first time and cannot wait for her to expierience it. Only 1 More week.

I just got back from a 2 week stay. We went to Phi Phi for 5 days and stayed at the brand new Palm Tree Resort. It was amazing. Close to everything and yet still very quiet. The pool was fantastic. I recommend it to anyone.
