We use the local products - out on the boat and never had a problem, perhaps you got a poor product. You can also get small, handbag size insect repellent here, along with insect repellent tissue wipes, which I carry in my bag.

There are all kinds of conditioners here, from Pantene through to Loreal, Lee Stafford, Toni & Guy, etc.

There are Watsons and Boots pharmacies, which are well stocked with all kinds of products, apart from hair salons. Tesco and Big C have all the regular products.

You will get rain in July, usually in the afternoons for a while or at night, but sometimes all day. You can still enjoy yourself though. Bear in mind that when it rains, it's still warm.

I always take more than one pair of bathers after all its the main peice of clothing you will be wearing. Also take a cheap power board so you can recharge different things at one time.Since I fell at a airport which had no first aid station I carry a small first aid kit just essentials like cotton wool, band aids etc.

You might find that it is not the Shampoo and Conditioner that are bad quality, but the water quality. My sister took her Salon product and had all sorts of trouble with her hair. I bought some Loreal and over there and it was fine.

I agree Suzy, I buy everything there (toiletries, shampoo, conditioner etc) never had a problem with any of it, actually my hair feels better there after washing, nice and soft so I always thought it was due to the "hard" water haha
