Hi all, we are two girls in our early 20's, stopping over at K.L for some non-stop shopping for only 2 days before we head off to Phuket. We're planning on shopping at the massive shopping complex but dont want to waste both days there. Any advice on markets that we MUST see? We want it all...LEATHER handbags, clothes, fake/real designer labels and jewellery.
We've heard there are also second hand markets/shops that stock REAL designer label handbags...any idea where these are???
How can we get the most shopping out of our 2 days?
Thanks, MUCH appreciated!!!

Go to Petaling Street ( Chinatown ) all the fake stuffs are there. Also check out Central Market for crafts and art. Both are at the same area.
Yes, there are some shops that sell 2nd hand designer labels. I think most of them are outside of KL. I will get you the address later.
Besides KLCC, go out of KL, there are 2 massive popular shopping complexs, Midvalley and 1 Utama. Both are really huge, you can spend one day there.
There is a new one in town also, called Pavilion. It's also HUGE.
www.midvalley.com.my , http://www.1utama.com.my/welcome.aspx
I like to shop at these 2.
Where are you staying?

Thanks for that Nautilus...we are staying opposite the twin towers, i believe it is a shopping complex. Our hotel is called the Melia...apparently it is one of the best locations!

Melia is not opposite the Twin Towers, it's opposite the Berjaya Times Square, a huge shopping complex but has been a real disappointment !!! I went once and that's it. A lot better ones in town.
I wont say it's the best location in town, it's at one of the busiest roads in town, major traffic jams there, but there is a monorail station in front of the hotel where you can take to go to other areas like KLCC.
Walking distance are shopping complex like Sungei Wang(anthing casual), Low Yat Plaza(Electronics), Lot 10, Starhill(Designer Labels), and the brand new Pavilion. Everything is within walking distance.
Have a good time.

Hi Nautilus,
so sorry about the late reply, off in a week!!!
your advice was great, really looking forward to a good shopping spree. just wanting to know if you could give me the address of the 2nd hang designer label handbag stores just out of K.L?
unless these are too far out of K.L of course, as we're only staying there for 2 days and dont really want to venture out to far as we will lose shopping time!!!
thanks in advance
