I will be in Phuket in June and would like to do a 1 day diving trip. I have done a couple of resort dives in the past but am considering doing the PADI openwater course before I go to Phuket. I have wanted to do this for some time anyway and living in Queensland there is some nice places to learn! Will this make things easier when I go diving there or are the dives catered for all? My partner says she will come along for the day but she is not interested in diving at all, Is it cheap for her to come along as a non diver? Thanks Adey

Doing the open water course before you come here will give you more options regarding divesites. Also the dives will be cheaper. We charge e.g. 4,300 Baht for a discover scuba diving (or resort dive), and 2 fundives at the same divesite cost 3,500 Baht including equipment rental.
The non-diver prices vary a bit, but are quite often 1/2 of the diver price.

Excellent thanks Steven, Can you PM me some details of your company so I can look you up when I get there. Will be staying at the Amari Coral Beach from 9th to 19th June. Thanks
