Hello everyone! This is the first time for my colleague and me to get around in KL. Though firstly we have to find out how to go to Dorsett Regency Hotel from the airport. Could any experienced AWDers tell us which airport coach or monorail train is bound for Dorsett Regency from the airport? And if possible, how are the prices for taxi or any public transportation? Besides, any kind of tourist's information would be highly appreciated as well. Loads of thanks in advance.

Hi Strawberry, You can take KLIA Express from the KLIA airport and then stop at the KL Sentral. At there you can take monorail to Bukit Bintang or Sultan Ismail.I'm not so sure but you can ask at the information counter and tell them you want to stop in front of Sungai Wang Plaza. From there you can walk to Dorsett but it will be no convenient if you carry heavy luggage. Other way will be taking a cab from Sentral to the hotel. Remember to bargain if the cab does not want to use meter. Cheers.

Travelling alone, the KLIA Express is ok, more than 1 person, dont bother. Just share the cab fare.

I'm totally agreed with Nautilus but as this will be the first trip for Strawberry to Kuala Lumpur, I think they should use KLIA Express so that they can see some part of our contry and do not need to face the traffic on the way to downtown. Anyway all the decision will be in Strawberry hands. Cheers.

Yeah, the KLIA Express do pass by some areas out of KL you wont see. Mostly housing areas and then some empty lands i think. Most of the time i sleep in the KLIA Express. Vey fast though, 25 minutes or so to KL. If traffic is bad, it can take up to 1hr from airport.

Ok Im here in Dorsett now. After asking how much from the airport to dorsett, a taxi driver said MYR140 and i was like yeah right. So this is what it cost me to get to Dorsett. When you arrive at KLIA, go take the elevator just outside the arrives area. Go down stairs and take the train from there to KL Sentral. cost is MYR35. The trip will take like 30min. Once you arrive in KL Sentral, go up the staris/escalators, out the gate and walk towards the "budget taxi" counter which is before the exit. Ask to go to dorsett. It cost me MYR10 to get to the hotel which was like a 10min trip or less. All up cost me 45. Hope that helps
