My parents just decided to throw some extra money my way for a hotel when I go over so i dont have to stay somewhere thats on a budget lol what would be everyones pick between those two hotels?? and what type of room to go for??
need feedback asap as I have to vist the travel agent very soon

Both my daughter 24 and son 20 have stayed at the Patong Merlin on separate occaisons and both really loved it. The 3 pools are great and they have happy hour each night 2 for 1.
Both hotels are next to each other so position is the same.
My husband and I are returning in June and we wouldn't consider anywhere else. My sister is staying at the Busakorn wing of the holiday inn and loves it there. Not sure about the holiday inn side of it though.

Hi Nate88, we have only been to phuket twice and first year Patong Merlin then last year Holiday inn (not busakorn wing though)both are fantastic but i found holiday inn too big so your too far from the pool and way too many kids and hard to get a sun chair.We are staying at patong merlin again this year as with 3 pools you can always get a chair and can move pools whenever you choose and all pool view rooms face the pool.If you stay at patong merlin make sure you request a pool view room.Both are great hotels so im sure you will have a fantastic time wichever one you choose.
