weather & diving condition in mid-May

Hi ! how is the weather & diving condition in mid-May ? will it be chopping on the water surface? If I stay in Mai Khao (quite north), will it be too far from the dive-sites and is transfer offered by dive shop ? Many thanks for info !

Transfers are offered from Mai Khao, but there will be a surcharge. The transfer to the pier will be about 1 hour.
The conditions will depend on the wind strength, quite often in May (because of the change of wind direction) the wind is quite strong, so the seas can be choppy in May.
