Has anyone recently had any dental work done in Bangkok or Phuket. I am interested to know how it went. Also any recommendations on where to have some work done.
Thanks Carl

I had 2 fillings done while on holiday on Nov 07 at a clinic on Petchburi road across from Pantip Plaza just near the overpass. Unfortunately can't remeber the name but the treatment was first class and the result was fine.

I spent 3 weeks in May and 3 weeks in November having all my teeth out and replaced with titanium implants and porcelain bridges.
I can heartily recommend Smile Clinic on Asoke Road Bangkok.
http://www.bangkoksmiledental.com/
If you go to their page called Our Guests you will find testimonies by me, my family and several friends, along with several people who went in September and November based on my recomendations.
My mum had a single implant, plus all her mercury fillings removed and replaced with white fillings. Her partner had two lower implants and a denture designed to clip onto the implants.
of my friends and those I sent recomendations to:
1 had all teeth removed and replaced with implants and composite bridges. (She suffered from the same mass of phobias that I did and was thrilled at how the staff helped her with it all).
1 had several implants and bridges of 3 teeth on each side. He is returning in a few months to have more work done. 1 had all top teeth removed and zygoma's and implants put in, and composite bridge. 1 had (at the Smile in Phuket) an entire mouth of veneers done.
I guess you could say we are all now implant experts !!!
The thing we all liked best about the Thai staff compared to Aussie dentists was their ethical-ness, their care factor (they look at you as a whole person not a mouth carrying a visa card), their upfrontness regarding quotes - the prices dont change suddenly - their are no suprises.
Depending on what you are planning to have done I am happy to give further advice via a private message here. If its implants you are looking into I have built a website that coveres the whole story from start to finish complete with photos and all the pros and cons etc plus lots of advice based on my experiences.

Hi, I have had dental work done in Thailand twice before including implants and crowns, teeth whitening as well as root canals. I am going back in June to have crowns put on implants from previous year. I have had all my work done at Bangkok Smile and they are absolutely fantastic. Clean, professional and well priced and very, very helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend them. They have a surgery near to Asoke and one near to Chitlom.

Smile also has a Phuket clinic and late last year they had employed an implantologist for that clinic too - so all their clinics now provide a huge range of options.
bella I am collecting peoples stories about having implants done to add to my website. When I was doing my research before my surgery I found plenty of dental websites but I struggled to find personal stories that described the process and what to expect from a patients point of view etc.
If you are interested in adding your story to my site please send me a personal message here and I will provide the link to my site so you can see what I have done so far with it.
