Hi Bianca

I have been in and looked around the resort with a manager there called J.R who is a bit of a charcter, and the rooms that were built around the pool in the main section of the hotel have been done nicely. They are not very big rooms but have been finished nicely and have all that you could want for the money. There is an older section of the hotel that faces rat u thit road and those rooms are the cheaper ones that I don’t think would be very good. The hotel also backs on to a reserve area which backs on to the patong waste depot but don’t let that put you off as it is not as bad as it sounds.

The gym is not that well equipped but other than that everything else at the hotel seems nice and well priced for the location. The only other thing is the resort seems to have a few guests that get the accommodation dirt cheap as they promise to attend a timeshare seminar. Not sure if that is how you are going but not my scene I would steer well clear of that even though the accommodation is cheap. As os2gosupplied a couple of links you can get an idea of the resort from those links.

Cheers, Darrin.

Hi

I stayed at the older section that faces Rat U Thit Rd and was extremely dissapointed. Throughout the night, the traffic noise was unbearable. In the early part of the morning (4.30am), the garbage van makes such a loud noise on the street, you cannot go back to sleep. The bathroom was very dingy, with a basin with no platform/cupboard to put your toothpaste, tooth paste, hairbrush, contact kens kit, etc. I had to place these on the floor. There was only cold water for the shower as the geyeser was faulty. When I complained about the traffic noise, they put me across the corridor which faced the other side. This time, the outside aircondition unit made such a loud noise, that I begged then to put me back into my old, traffic facing room!
The rooms and corridors was extremly depressing and resembled a cheap students dormitory.

In short, I will never set foot into that hotel again! Not even if the other "new" section is better simply becuase of my nightmare stay there.
