We have a change of plan and I finally got my hotel and tickets, need some suggestion on the itinerary when we do a quick stop at KL, only about 1 and less than a half day. We will be arriving in June on Monday at LCCT at 3:45PM,so I assume after we check in with the hotel (Renaissance ) it would be around 5:30 to 6:00PM, is it a good idea to immediately go to the SRI MAHA MARIAMAN TEMPLE, RAILWAY STATION, MASJID NEGARA, MERDEKA SQUARE, SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD BUILDING....etc attractions in the same general area, will I be right in the middle of traffic getting there and should I take some kind of public transportation instead of taxi cab ? I would think most of the places will be closed and I can only take some pictures outside. After that we will go to Chinatown for dinner and night market. Can that be done? The next day would be twin tower, Little India, Batu Caves, and Bintang walk. Thanks Happytraveler

Wow you plan to do allot. I was there for 4 days and did not get anywhere near that amount of stuff done. If you are going to the towers you must get there very early if you want to go up to the walk way they only allow so many a day and it fills up very fast! China town was only so so I enjoyed Bukit Bintang more. The sky train was a cool ride.

I know it will be allot, but I might only can do some and not all and drive by....etc. Is the traffic really bad around Bukit Bintang at rush hour, I heard you can jam for hours during peak time. happytraveler

Renaissance to Bintang Walk is only a short ride, but the traffic is bad. What you can do is walk accross the road, take the Monorail opposite Hard Rock Cafe, then drop off at Bintang Walk, should be the Lot 10 Station.

Btw, where are you coming from? From the LCCT to KL is very far away. Traffic can be very bad if you land on a work day. What i would do is, take a taxi from the LCCT to KLIA, then take the ERL (train) to KL Sentral, from there, take the Monorail to Bkt Nanas Station which is opposite the road from Renassaince hotel.

Btw, there are Shuttle Buses that depart LCCT to KLIA. Not sure of the time, if you can catch them, will save you guys lots of money. The Monorail is within KL Sentral. If you get lost, ask for directions. Beats taking the taxi and get stuck in the jam. But you will have to cross the road (dont worry, traffic lights) with your bags.
