Hi everyone,

We are hoping to travel to Thailand around late Sept/ early Oct. I understand its the rainy season.

I would like to know from people who have experienced Samui this time previously, what can we expect with the weather and humidity?
does in rain only in the afternoon for a short time?,
is it really humid and uncomfortable?
is it sunny or is it overcast?
does it detract from the overall experience?
are there some activities that are limited this time of year, such as overnight tropical camp with the elephants?

Are hotels and general cost of travel this time of year, offset the rain?

We are also looking at spending some time at other close by areas, such as Phuket, Krabi, Hua Hin etc, are any of these areas best travelled this time of year.

The other option is we may travel end Nov/Early Dec, Is this a far better option, despite the higher cost?

Yours thoughts are very much appreciated

Carlo
