Hi All....

I will be going to Bangkok with my wife and 2 year old son in early August just a few things i need to know.

1.What should i do for a baby seat for my 2 year old?

We are planning to be moving around by taxi but what should we do about a baby seat? is there anywhere we can hire 1 ? or will it be better if we hire a rental car with a baby seat in there?

What are the prices for car hire with a baby seat in Bangkok?

Also weather wise how will it be in early august?

Much appreciate any help.

Cheers
Blueboy

Never heard of hiring a baby seat in Bangkok. I think the best best would be have the baby around you in one of those shoulder carry straps with a seatbelt. As for the weather it is the wet season but should still be fine. You could get some rain but not enough to damper your trip. If you want I have some travel notes I have made from my numerous trips to Bangkok. If interested email and I will send them to you.

Hi Blueboy
I would not ever attempt to drive in bkk
sit in the back of the cab put the seat belt on yourself an let your arms be the belt for junior ( by far your safest means of protecting the babs )
Depending on where you stay, the sky train is perfext for getting around
Have a good trip

Hi Blueboy,

I'm travelling to Bangkok in Nov with a 10 month old. I purchased a ergo baby carrier so I thought it would be safest for my little one. I was going to buy a pram over there but I know lots of babies get knocked with shopping bags etc.. so I thought the baby carrier would be safest in crowds and shopping centres.

The ergo can hold toddlers too just depends on the childs weight and if you want to carry them. You can use the ergo on the back too...

Please let me know how you go with your little one.

Thanks,

Pebbles.
