I will be at the patong merlin from 14th June till 22nd June so i will also be able to tell everyone about the renos going on!! Also cause I am younger than some of the people on this site i will be able to give u a younger view on the place.

We will be there as well 24th June to 4th July.
You will love it Nate my daughter and son have both stayed there on separate occaisons and they both thought it was great. They went when they were 19 and 22.
We can't wait to get back.

Hi Mcgregorja,
I am at the patong merlin now and am loving it. Takes about 10 mins to walk up to bangla road, its nice and central - 7/11 everywhere, money exchanger outside.
Do make sure you get an upstairs pool view room, so when people walk past you don't have them learing into your room.
Staff are excellent and so is the food and drinks.
PARADISE !! Would definately stay here again and its only been 3 days!

Bee shore that you do not book in to Hotel Vises in Patong.
Hotel are closed due to owners missbehaviours!

Just got back from Patong HAD AND AWESOME TIME!!!!!!!!
The 3 Pools have a bar you name it, it has it. Waiters walk by all the time so you don't even have to get up from your lounge chair. Unfortunately no swim up bar.
As for the reno's you would never know they were going on. There was more noise from the all night crew working on the Marriot next door if you were staying in building 5. I was staying in building 2 and never heard anything from the reno's, which were nextdoor to my building, except when you walk past and they are doing the whole building at once and only working during the day. The reno is going on in building 1
Really enjoyable, loved the hotel will stay there again - for sure
