Hi, We have stayed at PBH many times, the last was July 07. It is in a great location, has great breakfasts and nice pools. We prefer the sunset wing deluxe rooms with seaview, the rooms closer to the road are a bit noisy due to being close to the banana disco. Its good value, even though it is one of the oldest hotels in Patong but they keep it in pretty good condition. We love it. Sue

Hi MISS_kelly, There is the sunrise and siam wings, I think the sunrise rooms are the ones overlooking the main pool. These rooms are great too, Its the siam wing which gets a lot of reviews re-noise. The banana disco goes off, it is popular with some locals after shops close, late at night and apparently they have an elvis impersonator on Friday nights I think. We haven't been in there since b4 tsunami but it was a lot of fun then. I think Cathy on the forum has been there last year, try her travel pages http://www.cathyandgarystravelpages.com there may be some photos. Everything you need is right outside on the street at the Patong Beach Hotel. You can just walk out front to get a selection of massages, heaps of restaurants and a 7/11 in the next arcade 2 mins away. Have a blast! Sue

Hi MISS_kelly,
I have stayed at this hotel three times and have enjoyed it everytime. It's location is fantastic and staff are good. The breakfast is also very good.
We stayed on the 7th floor so we were away from banana disco but I don't think you would have any problems regarding noise. If you do I guess you could always see if any other rooms are available and perhaps they will let you change.
The Thai elvis is quite good. I'm young (I guess that depends on your definition, but I'm under 30) but it was still fun to watch.
You will have to let us know how you go but we had a most enjoyable stay.
Have fun,
Pebbles.
