When we are in Phuket i would like to buy a really nice piece of jewellry. Could anyone recommend a good store for gold and silver. Would love to bring home a nice piece of jewellry to remember our holiday. We are staying in Karon and leave on the 9th July.

Katherine, I really like the Gems Gallery (Worlds Biggest Jewellery Store) I bought beautiful 18ct gold earings there. Its supposedly fixed price but I bartered a bit and got quite a few hundred baht off the price. Nice there as they also have a lounge with free drinks haha.

We have also bought jewellery at the Gems Gallery and were very pleased, also had a ring fixed. I am probably going to take some stuff to get repaired this year there.

Cathy we know you love to shop where there are drinks involved!!!
I must with shame admit, that the drink they made me last year was soooooo strong I couldn't drink it.... "oh the shame, the shame , the shame, how can I ever hold my head high again!!

Thanks Michelle and Cathy the Gem Shop will definately be on my list, having the lounge for a drink will certainly keep the other half happy! Can you please just give me an address for it. thanks so much again. Katherine.

Hi Katherine,
It's on Chao Fah West Road, not far from Central Festival Shopping Centre, ther is also a good day spa near here also Island Herbspa.
Any driver would know these places.
