Hi All \:\)
Im new to this thread, but have been following the posts.
My husband & I are due to fly out to Phuket for our honeymoon on 18th July and yes, we've been counting the days!
We're there for 10 days, then in Bkk for 4 on the way home, back to Perth.
Just wanting to see the best things for a young newlywed couple to do, as well as rough estimate on avg daily budgets.
We'd like to see the tigers, massages, elephant riding, phi phi island & hubby wants to try scuba diving.
WE're staying at the Patong Merlin.
Any advice/Suggestions/Recommendations/Pricing would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Excited Honeymoonerrrr!! \:\)

Hi Loz35, welcome to the forum.
You will find more info than you will ever need on CathyP's web page. There is guides on eating out, things to see and do, shopping!!!, and plenty more
http://www.cathyandgarystravelpages.com/

Massages are every where in Patong you wont have any trouble finding them, your hotel will also have massages but will probably get better value on the street. Expect to pay approx $10 aus for an hour massage.

There are many tours that you can go on which will include elephant riding. There is one to James Bond island that includes elephant ride, sea canoe, lunch, longtail boat. There are also tour boths everywhere so you can check them out and see what would suit you best. On Cathys site you will also find a page about elephant riding where you can just go and ride the elephants...its a very good place and gets great reviews form all who go there.

Caution with Phi Phi island at this time of year, it can be a very rough trip depending on the seas at the time. It will just depend on the seas. I have done the trip from hell in bad weather never again!!!

If you plan on going to the Fantasy show you can pay to have your phot taken with a baby tiger club on the way into the actual show.

I assume you accomadation is all paid.... so I always work on $100/per person per day, this includes meals drinks massages and SHOPPING!!!! It all depends on what you do, how many tours etc. I usually only do one or two "tour" type things, but we have massages every day (sometimes 2) will have a go on the jetskis on the beach, maybe a parraglide, Manicures pedicures facials and shopping!!!! Also if you drink alot it will add to your costs.

Depending where you eat Meals will cost you $8-$10 including a drink, massages about $10 Facials about $15, Manicure or Pedicure about $8, Tours vary but I would think off last years prices you could probably get the James Bond Tour for about $40-50 for the day.
Hope this help, you will get more off Cathys web page

Michelle
