Weather in Phuket at the end of September

Hello,

We will be visiting Phuket at the end of September and staying at Kata Beach. Will the waves be calm in order to swim?

Or should we wait until the end of October. We really want to go though at the end of September.

We usually go every year at the end of Sept/begining of Oct and never had a problem, but we stay at Patong.
